Memorial Cleaning

Cleaning your memorial and headstone can make a big impact regarding the appearance of older memorials. Gravestones often succumb to the elements; therefore, frequent maintenance and cleaning is important. We provide very thorough cleaning services for many types of materials. Our machine cleaning service grinds out and polishes the top layer of marble, removing any dirt.

We can advise and conduct a range of cleaning services depending on the material used for the memorial. We always clean bottom to top to keep acids from mould and lichens from running down, causing further stains. Here are some examples of how we would clean certain materials:

  • Marble should be regularly cleaned with soapy water. No neat chemicals e.g. bleach will be needed on this as this will damage the texture.
  • Granite requires minimal maintenance, so regular cleaning isn’t necessary as it is a highly polished surface. This can be cleaned by using a damp cloth to wipe it down and remove any organic growth. However, this will be different for a matt finish.

Additional Inscriptions

Existing headstone inscriptions may need repairing or replacing. So, we offer a service to add additional lettering or alter existing ones. Our craftsmen have the expertise to carry out the work both onsite and from removing the headstone altogether.

Depending on the location of your memorial, certain regulations will need to be followed. For example, churchyard rules state that all inscriptions must be approved by the Vicar. If you are unsure than our team will be happy to help.

Please find your draft website for review. We understand that you may wish to make some changes to your draft site. In order to help you get your new website live as soon as possible, we limit amends to two rounds where possible.

The go live process

Once we have received sign-off, our go live process involves:

  • A final proof read and in-house QC checks (2-3 working days)
  • You will be asked to archive your emails for all fully hosted mailboxes (if applicable)
  • Instructions on how to arrange the domain transfer will be provided (if applicable)
  • Once the domain is received the website will be booked in to go live
  • We will email you to let you know that the site has been put live and will start showing soon
