Vince is the owner of the business and has been a Stone Mason for over 25 years now. During this time, he has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge working with natural stone and there isn’t much he hasn’t done. Vince has been fixing memorials before the BRAMM standard was introduced and was quick to join, being the 16th person to get their BRAMM fixers license!
Favourite Project: Beachy Head War Memorial commemorating the Bomber Command – This is a huge project that took months of planning and a chinook helicopter was used to get the 7.5tons worth of Granite into its final resting place.
Favourite Font: France – Design originally by Mr. France. The font is clean, crisp, and clear with an even letter overall without going thick and thin like some modern fonts.
Favourite Stone: Blue Pearl – It is soft to work with yet hard wearing and there is something different about it that makes it stand out.
Having grown up with a love for technology and large machinery, Louis has helped bring the business into the 21st Century. Joining the Family business in late 2019, he has been helping customers add a greater level of personalisation, with custom artwork taken from their own drawings and designs.
Favourite Project: Queens Jubilee Memorial at Budleigh Salterton – It incorporated two of my favourite elements at work, reverse blasting and Dartmoor Granite. The beauty of reverse blasting is that it will never need any maintenance or repainting and Dartmoor Granite is so interesting to work with as all the boulders are so unique.
Favourite Font: Quayee Romana Book – It is clear but still has plenty of character without looking busy or over-styled.
Favourite Stone: Slate – Most memorials we do are in Granite but there is something about Slate that really makes a memorial special.
We are proud members of BRAMM (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons). This means you can put your full trust in us to create your headstone or memorial to the exact specifications you need. Additionally, we will ensure that the headstone is fitted and erected to the highest standards. Furthermore, our work is produced and guaranteed according to NAMM standards.
For your convenience, we can arrange accidental memorial and headstone insurance for just £50 per month for 5 years’ worth of cover through Stone Guard. This ensures that if anything were to happen, any repair costs will be covered.
